Deposit and Payment Terms

To confirm your booking we require a non refundable deposit. The reason that the deposit is non refundable is that all bookings are date specific, so if you change your mind about your function date, your deposit is forfeit against other orders we have declined in order to take your booking. Your deposit secures your order in our books. Payment options include, cash, direct transfer or credit card. By paying your deposit, you agree to adhere to the following Terms and Conditions.

Special Dietary and Allergy Requirements

Please note that Happy Cakes does not cater for any intolerance’s or dietary requirements. Our products contain eggs, dairy, wheat products and possible traces of nuts. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies the onus is on you to inform Happy Cakes. Happy Cakes accepts no responsibility for any symptoms or reactions that you or your guests may have as a result from eating our cakes. 

Final balance

Full payment of your order is required 14 days prior to your event. Failure to pay may result in your order being cancelled.

Cancellations and Deposits

Cancellation must be made in writing 30 days prior to your booking.

All money paid prior to the 30 days (with the exception of the NON-refundable Deposit) will be returned.

No money will be refunded if the event is cancelled within 21 days of your booking.

Full payment of your order is required if you cancel within 7 days of your booking.

In the event that something occurs to effect your scheduled date – please contact us to discuss options and availability.

Travelling with your product

Customers wishing to pick up their cakes can do so. Please note though Happy Cakes takes no responsibility for any accidents that may occur once the cake’s have been collected. They come to you in perfect condition and upon receipt of your Happy Cakes they become your responsibility. At the time of collection you will be provided with an information sheet on how to handle and store your Happy Cakes.

Delivery

Delivery of your cakes is available. All deliveries incur a fee which will vary depending upon the location.

Design Changes

Reasonable changes to your order may be made up to 4 weeks prior to the event. Additional costs may be incurred depending on the nature of the changes. If we are able, we will accommodate any changes you request including, but not limited to flavours, shapes, and decorations.

Happy Cakes aims to produce products of the highest standard that fulfill the clients brief as we understand them. When replicating a design from a photo provided by the client it is important to remember no two products are truly ever the same and a 100% identical replication is not possible. There are times when we will need to make decisions during the process that may affect the style of decoration, proportion or structure of the cake.

Colour can be subjective and it is vital that clients wishing for exact colour matches provide colour samples and discuss the desired colour when ordering their product. Happy Cakes will endeavor to best match colour samples with your order, however at times this may not be possible.

Equipment Hire

Please note that any bond paid is 100% refundable upon goods returned. All items are to be returned no later than 3 days from your scheduled event. A late fee of $30 will be deducted from the bond held for each and every day the equipment is not returned. Any items that are not returned or broken will also be taken out of the bond at replacement cost. Hirer takes full responsibility for products once they have left Happy Cakes until the time of its return. All items to be returned in containers and or boxes provided, free of debris and food stuffs.
